Description

-->

The California Department of Conservation, Division of Oil, Gas and Geothermal Resources publishes a feature class of oil and gas production or injection operations facility boundaries across the state. Data were compiled as of 26 February 2016 by the Division of Oil, Gas, and Geothermal Resources, California Department of Conservation.

Facility boundary is an area delineating approximately any equipment ancillary for oil and gas production or injection operations that are covered under the operator spill contingency plan of a facility. Equipment includes permanent tanks, flowlines, headers, gathering lines, wellheads, heater treaters, pumps, valves, compressors, injection equipment, production safety systems, separators, manifolds, and pipelines. In addition, areas where only tank(s) presently reside or used to reside are also captured as a facility boundary.
